Easy Printable Halloween Bunting – Free SVG Files With Easy Download
Nothing perks up a Halloween candy display quite like a cute Halloween bunting.
The great thing about buntings is they are incredibly easy to pull together ( I made mine in under an hour) and are highly customizable.
This tutorial is going to be short and sweet because, beyond the downloadable files, the rest is pretty straightforward.
A cute Bunting For Halloween!
You have a few options with this banner. You can buy the premade banner booklets from Celebrate (I’ll add the link below), or you can cut out your banner triangles from black craft paper.
When I made my banner, I used alternating white and black ribbon for the tops of each one to add a bit more contrast and texture. If I did this project over again, I would stick with using just the white ribbon. I think the banners with the white stripe stood out more.

Step 1 – Printing the file
Download and unzip the SVG files from above. Open Cricut design space and upload the SVG files. Once they are uploaded, import them into a new project.
Depending on the size of your bunting, you will probably have to resize the imported images. Simply click and drag the lower right corner until you get the desired size. I ended up making the letters about 4 inches tall, and the ghosts around 3 inches tall.
Click “Make It” and select your paper size and type. It’s always a good practice to test out the sizing with a piece of cheap printing paper before you use your expensive kraft paper. Insert your paper, and press start!
Don’t worry if Design Space shuffles the letters around, they’re going to be glued down separately anyways.
step 2 – Glue down the letters and ghosts
Add the letters and ghosts to the bunting triangles directly in the center. Use a glue stick to stick the cut-outs down.
step 3- Add ribbon to the top of the bunting
Add ribbon to the top of the bunting triangles leaving about 1/4 of an inch heading to allow for holes to be punched in the next step. If you do not have a small hole punch, be sure you leave enough space to accommodate the size hole of your hole punch.
Use a glue stick to fasten down the ribbon, and trim off any excess from the edges.
step 4 – Hole Punch and add hanging string
Add holes to the top upper corners of the bunting triangles and weave your string through the holes, ensuring the string is only visible on the outside edges.
A few extra tips
We added a few bats and hanging spiders to our Halloween bunting to add a bit more oomph to the display. Plastic spiders would be even better.
This bunting would be cute over a Halloween treat buffet, or even just as a decorative touch to add to your halloween decorating.
The SVG files can be used for almost anything, the cute little ghosts would look adorable on treat bags, or even on a mug or T-shirt.
